HN “Who is hiring?”
Founder-direct posts from the latest monthly thread — roles that never reach a job board.
Targeted deep links
Builds a precise query from a title and skill focus and opens each board pre-filtered. X-ray links search every company on an ATS platform at once via Google.
"Inference Infrastructure Engineer" (vLLM OR KServe)AI-infrastructure employers
Every card opens the company's live ATS board. $$$$ is top-of-market pay; open-role counts appear after a scan. Hiring hints are a rough guide — always read each posting's location line.

Playbook
Landing a senior AI-infrastructure role — inference, GPU clusters, ML platforms — wherever you're based.
- Don't filter AI labs by level. Fireworks, Modal, Perplexity, Prime Intellect and the vLLM / SGLang startups post “Member of Technical Staff” or unlevelled titles and level you after the loop. The default “Staff+ or unlevelled” seniority keeps them in view.
- Search by the vocabulary they use. Postings say “inference infrastructure”, “fleet engineering”, “compute foundations”, “cluster orchestration”, “bare-metal provisioning”, “GPU cluster architect” — rarely “DevOps”. Use these in the Deep links tab.
- Show the GPU failure modes you've handled. Interviews at GPU clouds probe fleet health, GPU burn-in and qualification, Kubernetes + Slurm scheduling, NCCL / InfiniBand issues and node remediation. Concrete incidents beat tool lists.
- Bands are high — and posted. Staff-level US base ranges seen on live postings: roughly $185k–$300k at neoclouds (CoreWeave, Crusoe, Together), $320k–$485k at frontier labs. Ashby boards show bands on every row here; cross-check on levels.fyi.
- India is on the map. Together AI, Nebius, Databricks, Anyscale, Cerebras, NVIDIA, Red Hat and Oracle hire AI-infra engineers in India; switch Remote scope to 🇮🇳 India-eligible. For US-remote roles, ask about contractor or EOR hiring.
- HN thread = founder access. Inference and GPU-cloud startups post in the monthly “Who is hiring?” thread; replies reach founders directly. A new thread opens on the 1st of each month.
